My client is a Global Investment Bank looking to hire keen developers to join a team in London and a team in the US.

The use of functional programming has been underlying in the systems, models, aps and tools used by the traders. They are now investing very heavily in the use of F#:

eg. the trader tools are currently deployed with an Excel front-end, with some of the calculation expressed using Excel and some in underlying code. They are in the process of transitioning the delivery of these tools to a non-Excel environment. The new environment uses WPF for the GUI layer with the underlying functionality implemented in F#.

Also, all modelling done by their quant teams will also be done in F#.
